Mabuhay!

Welcome to Kapatirang Pilipino! The Filipinx-interest organization at UC Santa Barbara! Our Mission Statement is to provide creative venues for social interaction through Political Empowerment, Filipinx/o/a-American Cultural and Ethnic awareness, and promotion of Academic Excellence at UCSB and its surrounding communities.

Originally established in 1978 as the Samahang Pilipino Student Union by Barbara Yee, Kapatirang Pilipino has continued to uphold its Four Pillars: Social, Cultural, Political, and Academic. With these pillars culminating together, it has created a space for the Filipinx community at UCSB.

42 years later, Kapatirang Pilipino is now the largest API organization at UC Santa Barbara. The organization continues to create bonds among its members that last a lifetime in events such as Ate/Kuya/Ading (AKA) and our annual performance show, Pilipino Cultural Night (PCN)!
